Family Therapy

All relationships in our lives are important but perhaps no relationship is as impactful or meaningful as our relationship to family.

EPS works to identify expectations of all members in the family unit, to improve communication and ultimately to create space where conflict is no longer reducing the precious and meaningful time a family has to spend together.

EPS provides family therapy through an Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) approach.

The goal of EFFT is to establish secure family patterns while still allowing for each family member to be autonomous. The desired result is a family unit thriving with meaningful and close relationships.

Chad Husted, LPC, became passionate about working with families during his tenure as a School Based Mental Health Counselor in the Cobb County School District.

He learned quickly that academic goals or school-based sporting goals were unachievable for students who did not have a secure and safe attachment with their family unit.

Chad prioritized Family Therapy for students struggling and discovered that in most cases as families communicated more effectively, individuals within the family unit thrived.
